Parent and Child 1-3 Yrs
From infant to toddler, Shining Light’s Parent and Child classes promote early development and provide a strong foundation for your child’s critical first three years. Weekly classes will help your child achieve new milestones and prepare for more advanced challenges during each stage of growth. And since you’re along for the ride, you’ll be right there to celebrate every discovery with smiles, hugs and the occasional adult-sized giggle.
Our Parent and Child classes are unique and fun and designed specifically for the development of 12–36 month old children. The class is set up to split time between open play and a structured session, and gives parents the opportunity to teach and play with their children in a fun environment.
Pre Rec 3–5 Yrs
Practically overnight, your little one changes from an unsteady toddler into a rambunctious child. At Shining Light, our gymnastics program for preschoolers and kindergartners has been specially designed to help your child channel all that energy and reach developmental milestones.
Our Pre Recreational classes are for children 3–5 years old and provide the type of basic motor skills and hand-eye coordination needed to establish the foundation for a lifetime of strength and athleticism. These classes include tumbling on the floor, building strength on the bars, jumping on the vault, and learning agility on the balance beam. All of our equipment is scaled down for small children, and we always have time for jumping into the foam pit!
Girls Rec 6–14 yrs
Whether your child is a beginner or trying to improve his or her skills to advance to our competitive teams, we have the right class available. The focus of our recreational classes is to help your child develop her gymnastics skills as well as build confidence and self-esteem.
Our Girls Recreational classes are for girls ages 6–14. There are no pre-requirements and classes are divided by skill-levels, which are assessed on a weekly basis so each gymnast can feel confident in her ability.
Your little gymnast will experience all of the Olympic events such as bars, beam, vault, and floor exercise, as well as trampolines, foam pits, and tumble track. Our Girls Rec classes were developed to help students develop strength, flexibility, and coordination.
